Overgrad is partnering with The Heckscher Foundation for Children to create a college search process for counselors and students in New York City. This initiative is based on Overgrad’s research into the nuances of the NYC college landscape and the challenges counselors and students face. Overgrad is customizing the platform after interviewing schools and community organizations and pooling anonymized college admissions data from across NYC. The result will be a tool that allows students to find post-secondary institutions where they’re most likely to be admitted and graduate, and to view admission probabilities reflective of students like them from their community. The platform will also allow students and counselors to easily find institutions that offer Opportunity Programs and calculate their own financial eligibility.
