Take the Field, a Public-Private partnership to rebuild New York City's Public School Athletic Facilities, explains the secret behind its fund-raising successes in its recently published annual report. The fund-raising momentum kicked in with the completion of the $10 million renovation to the athletic fields at George Washington High School in Northern Manhattan, followed by donations by early supporters including The Heckscher Foundation for Children, the Bloomberg Foundation and others.
